LA MIRADA, Calif. — Biola's women's tennis team opened its 2008 dual season with an 8-1 loss at the hands of Cal State San Bernardino in a non-conference match at the Biola Tennis Center in La Mirada on Friday.

The Eagles fall to 0-1 on the season while the Coyotes improve to 3-1.

Biola's lone victory came from Marisa Flores, who came from behind and outlasted her opponent in a 3-6, 6-4, 15-13 marathon win. Flores played a very patient game and came out with a hard-earned win.

The Eagles return to the courts on Saturday (Feb. 16) for a 1:30 p.m. non-GSAC game against The Master's College.
