Aaron Fenlason has been named the GSAC Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 2 as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Fenlason, a freshman from Rancho Bernardo, had an impressive week, allowing just one goal in 180 minutes to help the Eagles clinch a spot in the GSAC Playoffs. He recorded seven saves on the week and also picked up his first collegiate shutout in Saturday's 2-0 win over San Diego Christian.
After allowing an early goal against California Baptist on Tuesday, Fenlason recorded four saves the rest of the way as Biola came back for the 2-1 victory. On Saturday, he recorded three saves in the win over the Hawks to clinch the playoff spot for Biola.
The Eagles returns to action on Wednesday, Nov. 5, traveling to Irvine to open the GSAC Playoffs against the No. 2 seed Concordia University.
