SAN RAFAEL, Calif. --- Biola picked up its second road win in as many days, this time defeating NAIA Division II No. 21-ranked Dominican University 65-55 on Saturday night at the Conlin Center in San Rafael.
The Eagles improve to 2-0 on the young season while the Penguins drop to 2-4.
Sophomore
Josh Miller again lead the Eagles, pouring in 19 points and adding seven rebounds. Junior
Rocky Hampton had 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds with sophomore guard
Nate Rakestraw contributing 13 points.
The Eagles got the jump on Dominican, shooting 43 percent from the field and headed to the half leading 33-25.
In the second, things got better for Biola which hit 53 percent in the second half to hold off the Penguins for the 10-point victory.
The Eagles held a 37-26 edge in rebounding.
Biola has nine days off before returning to action on Tuesday, Nov. 25, traveling to face cross-town rival Whittier College at 7:30 p.m.
