LA MIRADA, Calif. --- A seven-game home slate including the Biola Classic tournament highlight the 2007 Biola University men's soccer schedule released by Head Coach Bryan Kuderman.
After three exhibition games, the Eagles open the 2007 season on Friday, Aug. 24, with a non-conference home game at Al Barbour Field against St. Martin's College from Washington State.
After a three-game tournament in Utah and a trip to Northern California, Biola returns home to host the Biola Classic tournament Friday and Saturday, Sept. 14-15. The Classic field will include Simon Fraser University (B.C.), Trinity International University (Ill.) and Vanguard University. The Eagles take on Trinity International on Friday and close out the Classic against Simon Fraser.
Biola opens play in the Golden State Athletic Conference on Sept. 22, traveling up to The Master's College. The Eagles, who play six of their 10 GSAC games on the road this season, welcome Vanguard back to La Mirada to kick of the home portion of the conference schedule on Sept. 25.
The Eagles' arch-rival, Azusa Pacific University, which reached the NAIA National Championship game in 2006, travels to Biola on Saturday, Oct. 13. The other two home GSAC games are against Fresno Pacific (Oct. 3) and San Diego Christian College (Oct. 27).
