LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The Biola softball team has earned the No. 4 seed in the NAIA Region II Softball Tournament and will face off against No. 1 seed and host California Baptist on May 8.

The Eagles enter the four-team, double-elimination tournament with a 31-15 overall record and open the tournament against the NAIA's top team in the Lancers. The games will be held at Big League Dreams Sports Park in Riverside with the first games at 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. on May 8.

Cal Baptist won three of the four games between the two schools this season with the Eagles picking up a 2-0 win in the final game in La Mirada.

The other two teams in the regional tournament are No. 2 seed Point Loma Nazarene and the No. 3 seed Vanguard. Those two teams meet up in the other first round game.

The Region II Champion receives an automatic berth in the NAIA National Championships while the other teams will hope to secure one of six or seven at-large berths.
