LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola centerfielder Chris Foreman was named to the All-Golden State Athletic Conference team announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Foreman, sophomore from Tyler, Texas (Grace Community High School), finished the regular season with an even .400 batting average, leading the team and ranking sixth in the GSAC.

Foreman, who hit just .286 during his freshman campaign, had 10 doubles a triple three home runs, 18 RBIs and 35 runs scored. He was also 12-for-14 in the stolen base department and had a team-best 17 multi-hit games.

Foreman was one of just four underclassmen on the 18-man squad and is the only one among the four outfielders. Azusa Pacific's Scott Hodsdon and Stephen Vogt shared GSAC Player of the Year honors while the Cougar's Head Coach Paul Svagdis earned Coach of the Year.

Biola opens the 2007 NAIA Region II Tournament on Friday (May 4) at California Baptist University. The first game of the double elimination tournament will be played at Woodcrest Christian High School in Riverside with the first pitch scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
