LOS ANGELES --- Cal State L.A. swept Biola University on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference match at the Cal State L.A. Tennis Complex.  

The Eagles fall to 2-7 on the season and suffer their fifth straight loss while the Golden Eagles improve to 6-2, having won six straight matches.

Biola, which has gone up against some of the nation's toughest competition in the last two weeks, faced one of the NCAA Division II's hottest team in Cal State L.A.

The Golden Eagles swept the doubles portion to open the match. Christine Garner and Ellen Monkemeier played close at No. 1 doubles before eventually falling 8-3.

In the singles matches, Cal State L.A.'s experience proved too much for the Eagles to handle as Biola was able to win just four games--three of which came from Marisa Flores at No. 3 singles. Flores fell 6-3, 6-0 to Isis Jackson.

Biola returns to action on Thursday (Mar. 8) as the Eagles face La Sierra University in another non-conference matchup. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.
