AZUSA, Calif. --- The No. 3-ranked Azusa Pacific University women's tennis team swept Biola on Saturday afternoon in a GSAC match in Azusa.

The Eagles fall to 3-11 overall and 0-6 in conference action while the Cougars move to 12-1 and 6-1 in the GSAC.

Biola's Christine Garner had the best success for the Eagles, but still was defeated in teh end by Katy Jelsma 6-3, 6-1.

Biola was without its top player, Ellen Monkemeier, who was nursing an injury.

The Eagles return to action on Tuesday (Mar. 27) as they travel to California Luthern University for a 2:00 p.m. non-conference match.
