AZUSA, Calif. --- Biola senior Katie Gustaveson has been named the GSAC Player of the Week for March 12-18, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Gustaveson threw a five-inning no-hitter and a two-hit shutout, earning a pair of wins in her two appearances this week. For the week, she struck out 17 batters.

Gustaveson struck out 10-of-16 batters she faced in her no-hit win over Macalester College MN at the Sun West Tournament, earning her second no-hitter of the season.

Against No. 10-ranked Concordia, she struck out 7 and allowed 2 early singles. She then retired the last 11 batters of the game in the 6-0 win for No. 21 Biola.

Biola returns to action with a GSAC doubleheader on Tuesday (Mar. 20) at arch-rival Azusa Pacific. Game time is slated for 4:00 p.m.
