LA MIRADA, Calif. ---  The Ohio Northern University Polar Bears are becoming at home in Southern California, as they continued their successful trip by downing Biola 9-0 at the Biola Tennis Complex in La Mirada.

The Eagles fall to 2-5 with the loss while Ohio Northern improves to 8-1 on the season and a perfect 3-0 on its trip to Los Angeles.

Despite losing all nine matches, Biola did have at least one thrilling match. Freshman Ellen Monkemeier took her opponent--Bridget Larson--to a tiebreaker at No. 1 singles.

Monkemeier lost the first game 6-3 and was down 5-6 and 0-40 before rallying to tie the set and for the tiebreaker. However, Larson was able to hold on for the win.

The Eagles travel up to the Central Valley to continue GSAC play against Fresno Pacific University on Saturday (Mar. 3).
