LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Despite playing one its longest matches fo the season including numerous close matches, Biola was swept at the hands of Southern Oregon University on Thursday at the Biola Tennis Complex in La Mirada.

The Eagles fall to 3-9 on the year with the loss while the Raiders improve to 6-1 overall.

Every Biola player picked up a couple games in their respective matches, but in the end were unable to pull out wins over a tough Southern Oregon squad.

Two matches went to full tiebreakers. Molly McMullen dropped the first set 6-3 of her match at No. 4 singles before regrouping and taking the second set 6-3. However, Mallory Byers was able to pull out the tiebreaker by a 6-2 score.

Christine Garner won the first set of her match at No. 5 singles 6-2, but lost the second 7-6 to force the tiebreaker. But it was Erin Bruni winning the tiebreaker 6-2.

Biola returns to action on Tuesday (Mar. 20), taking on Hope International University in a GSAC match on the campus of Cal State Fullerton.
