LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola dropped a tough match 8-1 to Baker University of Kansas on Tuesday afternoon at the Biola Tennis Complex in La Mirada.

The loss dropped the Eagles to 3-8 on the season as they begin the second half of the schedule while Baker improves to 4-0.

Marisa Flores picked up the lone victory on the day, winning her match at No. 3 singles in straight sets over Elaine Arellano.

At No. 1 singles, Ellen Monkemeier battled Marti Eidson to a tiebreaker before eventually falling 2-6, 6-1(10-3).

Biola returns to action on Thursday (Mar. 15), hosting Southern Oregon in a non-conference match at the Biola Tennis Complex.
