PASADENA, Calif. --- Biola University picked up its second win in as many matches with a 9-0 sweep over California Institute of Technologhy in a non-conference match on Friday afternoon in Pasadena.

The Eagles improve to 2-2 on the season while the Beavers drop to 2-4 overall.

Biola's mental toughness was tested all afternoon as local construction combined with windy and cold weather made for less than ideal playing conditions.

However, the Eagles put together one of their best performances of the years during doubles play to get things going, then cruised to an easy win during the singles play.

Biola has little time to enjoy its victory as the Eagles return to action Saturday (Feb. 24) in a home match against Point Loma Nazarene at 1:00 p.m.
