LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola suffered its first loss of the season today in a 7-2 loss at the hands of the University of Alberta on Friday.

The Eagles picked up wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, but were unable to break through against the Pandas in any other match.

Christine Garner picked up a win over Natasha Melnychuk with a come-from-behind 3-6, 6-1, 10-7 win as did Marvy Beckman in her 4-6, 6-4, 10-4 win over Katie Byers.

The Eagles return to action tomorrow as they travel to Northridge to take on The Master's College in their GSAC opener.
