COMPLETE RESULTS

AZUSA, Calif. --- Kristin Schmidt and Brian Ball each punched their tickets to the NAIA Indoor National Championships with strong performances at the Azusa Pacific Indoor Qualifier Saturday afternoon in Azusa.

Schmidt took top honors in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 17:57.22, easily qualifying her for the NAIA Indoors in Johnson City, Tennessee, March 8-10. Her performance was one of the top eight in the NAIA so far this season. Schmidt has already qualified in the mile run.

Ball qualified for the NAIAs in his second event, qualifying this time in the the 5,000 meter run with a time of 15:04.86. In addition, the time was one of the best times on the NAIA level this year. Ball qualified in the 1,000 meter run last week while running at the University of Nebraska Invitational.

In addition, Janette Hill, who was running in her first meet of the year, placed fifth in the 60 meters and took top honors in the 200 meters with a time of 25.85.

In the pole vault, freshman Timothy Ellis took third while sophomore Erin Hobson finished fourth in the their respected events. Ellis cleared 11-11.75 while Hobson reached 10-6 in her attempt.

Six Eagles travel to Nebraska for the Prairie Wolf Invitational hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday, Feb. 17.
