BOX SCORE

FULLERTON, Calif. --- Jasmine Nault scored 24 points–including eight to lead a big run down the stretch–to lead Hope International to a 62-57 win over Biola in a GSAC game on Tuesday night at Darling Pavilion in Fullerton.

The Eagles drop to 3-4 on the season and 1-1 in conference play while the Royals continue their impressive start to the season by improving to 9-1 overall and 2-0 in the GSAC.

Biola was led by the 22 points of junior forward Megann Alberts. Forward Summer Matthews continued to be dominant on the boards, pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds to go with her eight points.

After the teams battled to a 27-27 tie at halftime, the Eagles slowly began to pull away to start the second. Freshman Jenna French capped a quick 7-0 run to give Biola its largest lead of the game at 49-41 with 11 minutes left in the game. However, from that point on, the Eagles were able to score just eight points while Hope exploded for 21 down the stretch to secure the victory.

Nault led all scorers in the game with 24, though it was six points under her season-average. Brittani Philbrook added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Royals.

Hope has now won four of the last six games against Biola after the Eagles won the first 19 games in the series.

Biola returns home on Thursday (Nov. 29) for a GSAC game against Point Loma Nazarene at 5:30 p.m.
