IRVINE, Calif. --- Lauren Sahli and Kayanna Nichols each scored 18 points off the bench to lead Concordia University-Irvine to a 82-60 victory over Biola University in a Golden State Athletic Conference women's basketball game Saturday night in Irvine.

The loss snaps a two-game winning streak for Biola, which drops to 7-8 on the season and 3-4 in the GSAC. Concordia improves to 8-7 and 3-4 in conference.

Sophomore Megann Alberts scored 21 points and added 11 rebounds for Biola. Senior Rochelle Rausch added 15 points—all in the second half.

Down 37-24 at halftime, Biola opened the second period on a 17-5 run to cut the lead to two at 44-42. Concordia then regained its big lead with a 17-0 run over five minutes to go up 61-42.

Biola was able to hang in the game in first half thanks to 58 percent shooting from the field. However, BU shot just 33 percent in the final half.

Turnovers proved costly for Biola as Concordia was able to convert 24 turnovers into 32 points in the contest.

Biola sophomore Summer Matthews scored 10 points on perfect 3-of-3 shooting from the field.

Biola takes the long drive up to Fresno on Tuesday (Jan. 16) to face Fresno Pacific in a GSAC game at 5:30 p.m.
