RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- The No. 21-ranked Biola volleyball team put a scare in No. 3 Cal Baptist Saturday night, winning the first of game between the two GSAC foes before dropping the next three in a 28-30, 30-21, 30-22, 30-20 loss.

Biola, which drops to 7-5 overall and 1-3 in GSAC competition, played two of its best games of the year in games one and two, but ultimately had no answer to the Lancers' balanced attack.

Cal Baptist (13-1, 4-0) had three players with 14 kills and another with 10 to lead the way. They also had their way on serve, recording 15 aces.

Sophomore outside hitter Meghan Scheenstra again led the Eagle attack, recording 26 kills and adding nine digs and four blocks.

Biola returns to the court on Saturday (Sept. 23) for a GSAC contest against Westmont College at 7:00 p.m. in Chase Gymnasium.
