SALT LAKE CITY – Another day, another three goal victory for the Biola men's soccer team, which continued its perfect start to the 2006 season with a 3-0 win over the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs Saturday morning.

The victory gave the Eagles the team title at the Westminster College Tournament and ran their record to 3-0-0. It was the first lost for Colorado Springs, which dropped to 2-1-0 on the season.

Biola received help early in the match, earning a penalty kick off a bad challenge by the Colorado Springs keeper in the 30th minute. The goalie was awarded a yellow card and the Eagles were awarded the PK, which was converted by senior J.T. Searles.

After the half, Biola came out firing and netted a second goal thanks to a 35-yard blast off the foot of senior Omar Villablanca in the 52nd minute.

Sophomore Nick Bautista capped the scoring in the 70th minute with his second goal in as many matches.

Senior goalkeeper Ryan George earned his second cleansheet in three games, stopping nine shots en route to his third win of the year.

The Eagles trip to Salt Lake City proved quite successful as they outscored their three opponents 10-1. The lone goal to sneak past George was a meaningless shot in the 86th minute of the 4-1 win over the University of Mary on Friday.

Biola opens the home portion of its schedule with against Dominican University on Saturday (Sept. 2) at 7:00 p.m.
