SALT LAKE CITY – Biola's men's soccer team continued its winning ways with a 4-1 win over the University of Mary Friday night in second day action at the Westminster College Tournament in Salt Lake City.

The Eagles (2-0) dominated the entire game, outshooting the Marauders (0-2) by a 25-2 count and putting the game away with three late goals.

Freshman Derek Friehe recorded his second goal in as many games with a quick strike in the 30th minute to open the scoring.

Biola continued the pressure, but was unable to find the back of the net until the 65th minute when sophomore Nick Bautista scored what proved to be the game-winning goal.

Five minutes later, senior Jason Whyte broke the game open with his first goal of the year. Then, in the 85th minute, junior midfielder Kasey Dunn capped the Eagle scoring with his first tally of the season.

The University of Mary was able to find the net in the 86th minute, the only blemish on an otherwise great match for senior netminder Ryan George.

Once again, additional stats were not available from tournament host Westminster College.

Biola concludes play at the season-opening tournament with a 9:00 a.m. (PST) match against NCAA Division II member University of Colorado-Colorado Springs on Saturday.
