The Biola women's tennis team was named an All-Academic Team for the fifth consecutive season and four players earned Scholar-Athlete awards by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The Eagles were just one of 12 teams earning the honor on the NAIA level. Seven other teams were repeat winners from 2005 with just two repeating for the third straight season.

Four seniors led the way academically for Biola, earning ITA Scholar-Athlete honors. They were Ginny Bradshaw, Kristen Kelsey, Brianna Meister and Rebecca Nations.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All eligible student-athletes whose names appear on the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA eligibility form and have competed in one or more varsity matches must average into the GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2005 and spring 2006).

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
