The Biola Eagles (38-14) survived their second elimination game of the day as they beat Concordia University by the score of 6-4 after knocking off California Baptist in the morning game on Thursday in Riverside.
Travis Lange started for the Eagles and went the complete game only allowing one earned run on ten hits while striking out six to improve to 7-1 on the season.
Richard Fixsen had a break out game as he went 3-4 including a double, a homerun, two RBI and two runs scored. Tony Gonzalez also went yard as he blasted a solo shot in the second.
Cody Wilkerson got the start for Concordia and only lasted 1.2 innings, allowing three runs on three hits to record the loss.
Charlie Douglas and Justin Bird led the Concordia offense as they both went 2-3 on the day.
The Eagles return to the field on Friday to take on this same Concordia squad in the NAIA Region II championship at 2:00pm in Riverside.
