Junior center fielder Amerra Kesterson tied the NAIA single season mark with her 16th triple of the year and junior second baseman Lindsey Nuckolls hit her sixth homer of the season as the #18-ranked Biola Eagles managed a split with the No.1-ranked Lancers from California Baptist Saturday in La Mirada.

Biola (31-12, 13-11 GSAC) took a 1-0 lead in game one as Kesterson's triple was followed by a perfect suicide squeeze by Sarah Jensen in the third.

Biola's Katie Gustaveson and CBU's Candice Thomas put on a terrific pitcher's duel that was sent to extra innings as Shannon Brandt hit a leadoff homer in the top of the seventh.

Going to extras, Sarah Sherman put the Lancers (47-4, 20-4) in the lead on an RBI single by Chantal Millard but the Eagles nearly pulled even if left fielder Cassandrah Carreon hadn't thrown out Kesterson with the tying run for Biola as CBU won the game 2-1.

In game two, Biola punched out a three-spot in the first off starter Sarah Sherman for CBU before adding a single runs in the second.

Senior catcher Jennifer Fujihara ended her Biola regular season with a double crushed to the wall in left to give the Eagles a 5-1 lead after three.

Nuckolls then capped off a blistering game two hitting wise for the Eagles by smashing a two-run homer off reliever Tamra Overstreet.

Emily Gray picked up the game two victory while Tatiana Garcia helped put a punctuation on senior day for Fujihara and Amanda Rudolph with her first save of the season.
