For the second straight week, junior center fielder Amerra Kesterson has won the GSAC Player of the Week Award. This time is different, however, as she also received NAIA Region 2 Player of the Week honors as well.
Though Biola played only one doubleheader last week, Kesterson played a huge part in helping the Eagles sweep the Azusa Pacific Cougars and nearly all but clinch the final playoff spot in the upcoming regional tournament.
Kesteron went 4-for-8 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI but, most importantly, hit her NAIA-leading 15th triple of the year to move her to within one of tying the all-time mark of 16.
Shattering her own personal record, Kesterson has just two regular season doubleheaders left to break the record.
