The Biola Eagles (27-11, 9-10 GSAC) returned to action after 11 days off on Saturday as they took the first game of the double header against Azusa Pacific (23-19, 8-11 GSAC) by the score of 5-2.
Katie Gustaveson got the start for the Eagles and went the complete game, only allowing two runs on five hits while striking out four on her way to her 14th victory of the season.
Kristine Franks started for the Cougars and went 6.1 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits to fall to 9-9 on the year.
Biola was led by Sarah Jensen who went 2-3 with a double and two RBI. Amerra Kesterson, Kacie Lyding and Jacquelin Hudson also added two hits apiece.
Lori Shimasaki was the only Cougar to have a multi-hit game as she went 2-3 with a run scored.
The Eagles take on these same Cougars in game two of the double header on Saturday at 2:00pm in Azusa.
