Eagle senior, Linda Ogugua had yet another dominating game which included 16 points and 11 rebounds, but it was not enough to upset the Sea Lions from Point Loma Nazarene University (19-7, 13-5 GSAC).
The Lady Eagles of Biola (10-17, 6-12 GSAC) had a seven point lead going into the locker room at halftime while holding Pt. Loma to just 18 first half points. Biola shot over 52% in the first half but then cooled down in the second to just over 34% and allowed the Sea Lions back into the game.
The Eagles had a one point lead with less than 25 seconds remaining in the game when Mica DeHoog stole the ball which then lead to a game winning layup by Kerra Wodarski with 22 seconds left.
Linda Ogugua led all players in points and rebounds, while Crystal Duncan added eight points and four rebounds of her own.
Pt. Loma was led by Mica DeHoog with 12 points while Kerra Wodarski chipped in with her 10 points.
Biola's next stop with be in Irvine to take on Concordia University on Friday at 3:00pm.
