BOX SCORE

PHOENIX --- Biola's men's basketball team snapped its four-game losing streak with a dominating 80-47 victory over Southwestern College of Kansas Saturday night in the final game of the Grand Canyon Classic in Phoenix.

The Eagles, who improve to 7-6 on the season, put their shooting issues behind them, hitting over 50 percent from the field for the second time in its last six games.

Biola had four players in double figures, led by sophomore guard Josh Salo, who scored 13 points off the bench. Freshman Rocky Hampton added 12 points and as many boards in the winning effort.

The Eagles defense forced the Moundbuilders to hit just 21-of-67 shots from the field and also outrebounded Southwestern 45-34.

Biola is happy to return to the Golden State after a 2-6 December roadtrip to be forgotten. The Eagles return to conference play--albeit on the road, traveling to face The Master's College on Tuesday (Jan. 2) at 7:30 p.m.
