LEWISTON, Idaho --- Biola shot a season-low 28 percent from the field and was held to just 47 points as the Eagles opened up a trip to the Northwest with a 63-47 loss at Lewis-Clark State in a non-conference game Friday night.

The Eagles, who fell to 6-3 on the season with the loss, were led by the 11 points and 14 rebounds by freshman Rocky Hampton.

But the story of the night was the defense of the Warriors, who held Biola to just 18 field goals in 63 attempts and forced 22 turnovers. The Eagles were also 2-for-14 from three-point range and failed to hit from beyond the arc in the second half.

Biola entered the contest with an overall shooting percentage of 56 percent on the season and had been averaging just over 84 points a game.

Senior Spencer Foster was the only other Eagle in double digits, scoring 10 points. Junior Danny Jones had 10 rebounds, but struggled from the field going 0-for-8 on the night.

Mike Gordy had 15 points to lead Lewis-Clark State, which improves to 7-4 on the season, with Teran Lee adding 11 of his own.

The Warriors had a strong shooting night as they were 43 percent (25-for-58) from the field overall. 

Biola hopes to get back on the winning track as it faces NCAA Division III Whitman College on Saturday (Dec. 16) in Walla Walla, Wash.
