OAKLAND, Calif. --- Biola opened its season with an impressive 75-68 win over NAIA Division II No. 9-ranked Holy Names Friday night in game two of the Holy Names Tipoff Classic.
The Eagles were led by redshirt freshman Rocky Hampton, who had 23 points and 11 rebounds in his first collegiate game.
Seniors Matt Emadi and Solomon Mercado each added 13 points in the winning effort.
Biola led 31-26 at the half, but cruised to victory by shooting 16-of-23 in the second half.
