BOX SCORE
SAN DIEGO --- Three players scored in double-digits for No. 12 Point Loma as the Sea Lions cruised to a 75-43 victory over Biola in a GSAC game Thursday night at Golden Gymnasium in San Diego.
The Eagles' offensive woes continued as the team shot just 30 percent from the field as the team dropped to 3-3 on the season and 1-2 in conference play.
Point Loma was led by Meghan McGuire, who scored 19 points off the bench to help the Sea Lions improve to 4-1 and 2-0 in GSAC action.
Biola's offense failed to show up early in the game as Point Loma held the Eagles off the board until a three-pointer by Alyssa Wandrey over six minutes into the contest.
Biola, which had committed eight turnovers up to that point, regained its composure and closed the gap to seven at 13-6, but that was as close as the team would get.
The Eagles received 11 points off the bench from freshman guard Elise Paty, who also had five rebounds. Sophomore forward Megann Alberts scored nine points and added 10 rebounds, two blocks and a pair of steals.
Biola returns to action on Saturday afternoon as the Eagles travel to face NCAA Division III Pomona-Pitzer at 2:00 p.m.
