BOX SCORE

LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The Run and Gun style of play by the University of Redlands led to the highest scoring game in Biola history as the Eagles outgunned the Bulldogs 138-105 Saturday night at Chase Gymnasium.

Matt Emadi led the way for Biola, scoring 32 points on 13-of-16 shooting as the Eagles improve to 4-1 on the season.

Redlands up tempo style of play featured a full-court press and a quick three-point shooting barrage. The Bulldogs hoisted up 110 shots--81 of which were three-pointers--but hit just 32-percent from the field.

Biola, on the other hand, was able to break the press for the most part, scoring 108 points in the paint and 56 points on the fast break.

The Eagles nearly broke a number of school records in addition to combined points in a game. Biola's 71 points in the first half were second only to the 90 points the Eagles scored in the second half of a 155-87 win over West Coast Christian in 1988.

Three players recorded double-doubles for Biola, led by the 22 points and 15 rebounds from junior Danny Jones. Senior Lafayette Lofton added 20 points and 11 boards and freshman Rocky Hampton scored 18 points and had 12 rebounds.

Overall, Biola held a 62-40 edge in rebounds on the night.

The Eagles will now prepare for a slower paced game as they return to conference play on Tuesday, Nov. 28, hosting Hope International at 7:30 p.m. in Chase Gymnasium.
