LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Four cross country runners from Biola University have earned NAIA All-Academic honors from the for the 2006 season as announced prior to the NAIA Cross Country National Championships on Friday.

Senior Brittany Gomes and juniors Danielle Simpson, Sara Bair, and Amanda Stephens earned the honor awarded to juniors and seniors which maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher and compete in a minimum of one-third of scheduled contests.

Gomes is a nursing major while Simpson and Bair are studying psychology. Stephens is working toward the completion of a sociology degree.

All four runners were honored by the Golden State Athletics Conference prior to the conference championships as well.

Gomes joins Anna Thibodo and Brian Ball in the NAIA National Championships on Saturday, Nov. 18, in Louisville, Kentucky.
