LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola sophomore outside hitter Megan Scheenstra was named to the All-Golden State Athletic Conference team as announced by the conferernce office this week.
Scheenstra, who was one of 17 athletes from the 11 conference schools to earn the honor, led the GSAC in kills with 629 and kills per game at 5.82.
In addition, she also recorded 30 or more kills on four occasions this season, the only NAIA athlete to do it more than twice in a season.Scheenstra also established new season records for kills and kills per game.
Biola dropped its first-round regional playoff match to Azusa Pacific on Tuesday evening and still holds and outside chance at an NAIA national playoff berth with an overall mark of 20-12.
