IRVINE, Calif. --- Despite playing a relatively strong match, No. 16-ranked Biola was swept by No. 4 Concorida 30-25, 30-24, 30-27 Saturday night in Irvine.
Concordia, which improves to 16-2 overall and 8-2 in GSAC play, had a .298 hitting percentage to Biola's .177 and recorded 11.5 blocks on the night en route to the victory.
Biola suffers its second straight loss and drops to 11-8 overall and 5-5 in GSAC play.
Biola received a match-high 15 kills by sophomore Meghan Scheenstra, who also added three blocks, five digs and a service ace.
Concordia was led by the 13 kills of Ashley Robbins.
The road does not get any easier for Biola, which returns home to host No. 2 Fresno Pacific on Tuesday (Oct. 10) at 7:00 p.m.
