ORANGE, Calif. --- NCAA Division III Chapman University recorded a minor upset with a 30-24, 30-19, 22-30, 30-25 non-conference win over No. 18-ranked Biola on Wednesday night in Orange.
Nikki Powers and Christina Chambers led a balanced Panther attack with 15 kills apiece while Jill Felger added 13 and Lindsey Carter contributed 10.
Biola (11-7 overall) received a match-high 24 kills from sophomore outside hitter Meghan Scheenstra with sophomore Kelsey Mitchell adding 13 kills in the losing effort.
After dropping the first two games, the Eagles rebounded with a dominating performance in their 30-22 win in game three.
However, Chapman broke open a close contest in the fourth game with a string of eight unanswered points to win 30-25.
Biola remains on the road for a GSAC match at No. 4 Concordia on Saturday (Oct. 7) at 7:00 p.m.
