FULLERTON, Calif. --- Senior Jenni Loya's goal with just 1:52 remaining in double overtime gave Biola a 1-0 win over Hope International in the Eagles regular season finale on Thursday afternoon in Fullerton.

Biola wraps up the 2006 regular season clinging to slim playoff aspirations with a 7-6-3 overall mark. The Eagles end the GSAC campaign with a 3-5-2 record.

Biola struggled offensively throughout the first half and managed to get things going a bit in the second. The Eagles had just four shots in the first and eight in the second.

Hope took control in the first overtime period, tallying three shots and forcing Biola netminder Keri Schulz into making a pair of great saves.

In the second overtime period, Biola created a pair of great chances on their own, the second culminating in the winning goal.

After a long ball was shot in toward the goal, the Hope goalie, Renee Solis, came out to play the ball, but couldn't corral it. Loya managed to get a foot on the loose ball and punched it into the back of the net for the match-winner.

Schulz made some spectacular saves to keep the Royals off the board, making nine on the afternoon to earn her second straight cleansheet.
