Hank Woodrome took over the Biola Golf programs in the 2010-11 season and brought with him decades of golf experience, including some time spent on the professional golf circuits.
He started his career at Biola as the head coach of both the men and women's program, but since the 2014-15 season has been able to focus his attention solely on coaching the men's team. He retired from the head coach position but made a return to coaching at Biola in 2019 to serve as an assistant coach for Jane Carr in the women's golf program.
The Men's Golf program has been an NAIA Scholar Team each season under Woodrome and his student-athletes have achieved six NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognitions under his watch.
On the links his golfers have won two individual championships and posted the top-4 team single-season scoring averages in Biola Men's Golf history.
Woodrome is a PGA member and spent 2001-2007 playing on the European Senior Tour where he experienced great success. One of his biggest golfing accomplishments was when he was named the 2001 SCPGA Senior Player of the Year.
He won the Wallonia Open in Belgium in 2003 with a final round 68. His career low score came in a 27-hole tournament where he shot 61-28 to finish with an 89.
Woodrome had the chance to play with golfing legend Arnold Palmer at a Transamerica Senior event at Silierado Country Club. He's still an active PGA member that gives golf lessons on a regular basis, making him a PGA Quarter-Century member.
He's a local to the Orange/LA County area as he attended Sunny Hills High School and Fullerton College.
He and his wife, Lois, were married in 1997 and currently reside in Yorba Linda, California.
