Jesse Elrod is the latest recipient of the Biola Athletics Athlete of the Week, presented by Hirtle Callaghan & Co. 

Elrod led Biola to a 1-1 record last week with a home win over Hawaii Hilo and a three-point road loss to the No. 3 team in the NCAA Division II West Region, Point Loma.

In almost 50 minutes spread between the two contests, Elrod chalked up a team-high 39 points (19.5/gm), including a season-high 22 in the game against Point Loma.

He shot over 60 percent from the field and led the team with five three-point makes (the whole team made just 12 on the week). 

Biola hosts Fresno Pacific at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Eagles' final contest before the Christmas break.
