Big lefty Troy Stainbrook dominated with six shutout innings in Biola's 8-1 win over Western Oregon on Thursday. Stainbrook recorded 10 strikeouts without surrendering a free pass and induced 14 swing-and-misses from the 21 batters he faced. He also retired 10 batters in a row from the last out of the third inning to the second out of the sixth against the team that was favored to win the GNAC in the conference Preseason Poll.

The Eagles will look to improve on their 1-1 record with five games at home this week. Biola plays Providence Christian College at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday and starts a four-game series with Bethesda Thursday through Saturday.
