LA MIRADA --- Combined excellence in academics and athletics was rewarded on Tuesday by the College Sports Communicators. The CSC Academic All-District Teams were announced, honoring Tommy Kendlinger, Isaiah Leon, and Blake Wentz.

The 2025 Academic All-District Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Kendlinger was a day one starter in center field and started every game but the final one of the regular season. The transfer made his debut at Biola in 2025, logging 45 hits and 34 RBI. In the classroom, Kendlinger boasted a 3.67 GPA, while majoring in public health.

Leon was a force in the lineup for Biola in 2025, batting .385 and picking up plenty of accolades, including First Team All-PacWest and Second Team All-West Region. Before coming to La Mirada, Leon logged a perfect 4.0 GPA at Mid-America Christian University, earning an undergraduate degree in business administration. He went on to earn his master's in business administration at Biola with a 3.97 GPA. This is the second time Leon has been named CSC Academic All-District.

Wentz did his work on the mound for the Eagles, offering 17 appearances and 34.1 innings pitched. He was a key long reliever for BU, posting a 4.19 earned-run average. Academically, Wentz majored in business administration, while holding a 3.67 GPA. The junior also picked up his second CSC Academic All-District award.
