Box Score HONOLULU, Hawaii --- Friday's doubleheader between Biola (10-11, 7-7 PacWest) and Chaminade (7-11, 5-9 PacWest) featured a pair of seven inning contests. The opening bout saw the Eagles climb back and pull off a win with a late push for a 7-4 margin of victory.

James Whitman put Biola on the board in the second inning, leading off with a double. Nicholas Whippo helped him to home plate, lacing a single to right field for an early Biola lead.

Back-to-back doubles with two outs in the third inning kept the scoring going for the Eagles. Adiel Torres reached second on a line drive down the line, before he and Luke Caruso swapped places, as Caruso logged the RBI two-base knock.

In the meantime, Chaminade made a splash on the scoreboard with back-to-back two-run at bats for a 4-2 lead for the Silverswords.

Nathan Hernandez blanked CUH in the fourth, despite seeing a bases loaded jam.

The Biola lineup came up ready in the fifth inning, tying the game in the first three at bats. Nick Madole and Noah Ruiz singled to put runners on, and Isaiah Leon nabbed the RBIs with a double over the third baseman and down the left field line. The two-RBI hit knotted the game at four.

Hernandez stayed strong on the mound in the fifth, going 1-2-3 with a pair of strikeouts. The reliever netted three scoreless innings with just one hit allowed.

The scoreless stretch opened the door and the Eagles stepped through on offense. Whippo delivered in the sixth, posting a double and moving Tommy Kendlinger to third base. A groundout scored Kendlinger for the go-ahead score.

Insurance runs came in the seventh, as Biola looked to secure the victory. A solo shot added one with a long ball from Torres and back-to-back singles and a CUH error tacked on another for a 7-4 edge.

The potential tying run came to the plate for the Silverswords in the bottom of the seventh but Dylan Alanis shut it down. The BU closer grabbed his third save of the year behind three outs and two strikeouts.

Torres was impressive at the plate, going 3-4 with a pair of extra-base hits. Three more Eagles went for multiple hits including Whitman, Caruso, and Whippo with two apiece.

Biola and Chaminade will wrap up the day with game two later on Friday with another seven inning game.
