MONTEREY PARK, Calif. --- The top of the 2024 PCSC Championships leaderboard looked familiar to last year's, as the Biola Men's Swimming & Diving squad grabbed the crown once again. The Biola Women's Swimming & Diving team pushed it to the very last race and came in second to round out their PCSC Championship performance.

"We couldn't be more proud of both men's and women's programs as they competed for a conference championship!" said Head Coach Nate Harding. "Our women's team fought hard for a second place team finish. I'm honored to be able to lead our men's team to our second men's title in a row! This is a special group of student-athletes who swim and dive for God's glory! It's a great day to be an Eagle!"

The men's team took control on day three and held on for the conference championship on Saturday. BU finished atop a field of eight teams with 749.5 points. UC Santa Cruz followed the Eagles, trailing by 44 points.

The women's squad landed in second place behind a late push from CSU East Bay. The Pioneers overcame on day four and beat out Biola 1201-1175. BU grabbed second in a field of 14 and beat out Azusa Pacific in third place by nearly 60 points.

Head Coach Nate Harding led the Eagles to a second-straight title and the program's third in its history. The win helped Harding to the honor of PCSC Championships Men's Coach the Meet.

The team drew in more awards including men's diver of the meet in Caleb Pook. Lorelai Carney picked up the women's diver of the meet honor after winning both dive events. Biola's diving coach, Rob McLellan, was also named diving coach of the meet.

Saturday's events featured a strong performance from the third place swimmer of the meet, Noah Hall. The sophomore repeated as champion of the 1650 freestyle race. Hall was the only finisher under 16 minutes, posting a mark of 15:51.34, which improved on his previous school record by five seconds.

Gavin Souttere joined Hall on the podium in second place in the 1650 free. Souttere touched at 16:03.28 for the silver medal.

The Eagles kept up the momentum in the 200 backstroke. Four of the top five swimmers were from Biola, as the squad swept the podium. Nathan Griffin earned the win by beating out everyone by two seconds at 1:47.54. Alejandro Marchesini came up next in second at 1:49.84, while Jackson Black was a split second behind for third at 1:49.93. Ryan Monrean completed the dominant showing, grabbing fifth place with a time of 1:50.93.

Biola swept the 200 backstroke event titles, as Allison Yancey was the individual champion for the women. Yancey won gold with a school-record mark of 2:03.08.

More event crowns came through with the swim of Sean Rho in the 200 butterfly. Rho claimed first for the Eagles with a mark of 1:50.68. Eli Houseman added to the point total in the event in sixth place at 1:53.40.
