AZUSA, Calif --- An elite cast of teams wrapped up competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Good Friday. Azusa Pacific played host to the high-level meet, as the Eagles made their presence felt throughout the variety of events.

The field events featured a strong performance from Sara Chao and Jada Pierce for Biola. Pierce dominated the hammer throw with a personal-record of 49.28 which surpassed her prior best by six meters. The junior Chao came through with her best mark in the javelin throw at 35.08m, which was good enough for 23rd place. Gigi Fierro added a discus throw for Biola of 36.49m for 36th place and Reanna Maroon contributed to the field events with a 3.21m mark in the pole vault.

The Eagles only entered one athlete in each of the men's and women's 400 but found impressive showings in both. Shelby Rogers crossed the finish line at 55.98 and nabbed 21st place, while Mathias Davis finished at 28.89 in 30th.
