• Had appeared in two meets before the season was canceled due to COVID-19 outbreak
• Had three individual eighth-place finishes on the season, never finishing worse than 11th

2019
• Appeared in 10 meets during her second track season with the Eagles
• Helped Biola to a fourth-place finish in the 4x100m relays at the PacWest Championships (:48.61)
• Finished seventh in the 100m hurdles at the PacWest Championship meet (:15.04)
• Had her best ever 100m hurdles at the Bryan Clay Invitational (:15.04)
• Ran her best 100m run at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic (:12.85)
• Earned Academic All-PacWest honors
• Also won D2ADA Academic Achievement Award

2018
• Appeared in 11 meets during her first season at Biola
• Competed in two heptathlons
• Competed in four events at the PacWest Championships, with her best finish being ninth-place in the 100m hurdles (:15.59)
• Had a great meet at the Bryan Clay Invitational, setting season-bests in the 100m hurdles (:15.68) and 400m hurdles (1:08.13)
• Her top heptathlon score was 3,777 at the SDSU Aztec Open
• Earned Academic All-PacWest honors

HIGH SCHOOL
• Prepped four varsity seasons at Northwest Christian HS in Lacey, Wash., graduating in 2017
• Two-time state champion in the 300-hurdles, one-time state champ in the 100-hurdles
• Holds the school record in 300-hurdles, 100-hurdles, triple jump and long jump
• Led her team to first, second third and fourth-place finishes in state over her four seasons
• Won team MVP in 2015, 2016 and 2017 and captained the team in 2017
• National Honors Society president and class valedictorian
• Also played volleyball, basketball and ran cross country for the Navigators
 
PERSONAL
• Born Nov. 2, 1999 to Tad and K. Sowers
• Has five siblings (Betsy, David, Joanna, Allison and Becca)
• Majoring in nursing, with hopes of working at a hospital
• Her sister Joanna ran track at Northwest University and Allison ran track at Seattle Pacific
• She enjoys baking, reading, biking, playing piano, hiking and hanging out with friends
• Favorite Bible Verse: Romans 8:38-39
• Why I Chose Biola: “I chose Biola because of the strong emphasis the school puts on following Christ. It is clear that learning more about God and growing in a relationship with Him is a priority. Biola also has great nursing and track programs."
