BIOLA (2-4) vs. NOTRE DAME DE NAMUR (1-2): Thursday Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m. \\ Live Stats \\ Live Video
Due to the recent wildfires in Northern California, Notre Dame de Namur has had to cancel two of its non-conference games and has played just once since November 10. The Argos are last in the PacWest in scoring at 45.3 points per game and are the only team averaging under 50 points per contest. But the did collect their first win of the season in their most recent game, clipping Cal State Monterey Bay, 55-49. Both Lindsay Bates and Anaya Rodisha scored in double figures for the Argos in the contest, marking the first time Notre Dame de Namur has two scorers reach 10 points or more in the same game. Biola is 2-0 against the Argos all-time, with a win in their first meeting on November 11, 2004 and a 69-50 result in Belmont, California last year. Jazz Benn had a breakout performance in last year's win posting a 20-point, 13-rebound double-double while the Eagles had a plus-16 rebound margin. Benn has already recorded one double-double this year and averaged 12.3 points and nine rebounds in the three games between November 15 and November 23.

BIOLA (2-4) vs. HOLY NAMES (0-5): Saturday Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. \\ Live Stats \\ Live Video
Despite scoring scoring 70 points or more in three of its last four games, Holy Names comes to Southern California still searching for its first win of the season because the Hawks are surrendering over 80 points per game on average. A number of quality opponents were mixed into the Hawks first five games, including No. 6 Alaska-Anchorage and a 5-0 Western Washington team, and they will have to face another tough test before arriving at Chase Gym with a matchup against No. 21 Azusa Pacific on Thursday. Biola also has an active winning streak against Holy Names, having won five in a row and both matchups last year. But the Eagles aren't expect to take the Hawks for granted since Holy Names played a very gritty game in La Mirada last season before losing by just five points and because the Hawks have three players currently averaging 9.8 points per game or more.

ABOUT LAST WEEK:
Biola went 1-1 at the Azusa Pacific Thanksgiving Classic last weekend in their final games before the beginning of the Eagles' PacWest schedule. The Eagles ended up with a good shooting percentage in both contests, checking-in at .444 and .431 from the field on Friday and Saturday, but had more success on Friday because of their ability to score from beyond the arc early in the game. Biola drained five three-pointers in the first half against Northeastern State that stretched the opposing defense and created scoring chances for everyone on the floor, leading to a few long scoring runs and a comfortable second-half lead for the Eagles. But Northwest Nazarene's tough full-court press surrendered only one three-pointer to Biola in the first 29 minutes of the game on Saturday and limited Biola to just two double-digit scorers, neither of whom scored more than 12 points. The Eagles are a team that plays best with momentum in their favor and last week just increased the evidence that a series of three-point makes is pivotal in establishing their momentum.

CONFERENCE TICKER:
It's been a tough road lately for a lot of teams in the PacWest as only three teams in the conference are over .500. Concordia, Holy Names and Point Loma are all still looking for their first win of the year while No. 21 Azusa Pacific has lost-three straight, including a 63-57 loss on Saturday to a Northeastern State team that Biola beat by 12. APU is now 0-2 at home this season and plays the same four opponents Biola will face over the next two weeks before coming to Chase Gym on December 15 for a Cornerstone Cup clash. PacWest play officially tips off on Thursday with six games followed by six more on Saturday.

NEXT WEEK:
In the first full week of December the Eagles will play two PacWest road games against Southern-California pod peers. Head Coach Alan Nakamura's group will play at Point Loma on December 5 then at Concordia on Saturday December 8 and may be able to use those game to build a strong start in conference play. The Sea Lions are a surprising 0-5 while Concordia is currently 0-4 to start the season. The Eagles also won all four matchups they had with those two opponents in 2017-18
