Kasey Hormel led Biola to a 2-2 record and second consecutive berth in the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round bracket championships with a stellar week between May 11-17.

Hormel led the team with a .444 batting average, going 4-for-9 and adding two walks as she reached base in nearly 60 percent of her plate appearances.

She scored two runs and hit one double in Biola's games against Belhaven (Mo.) and LSU Alexandria. Her four hits tied her with Selina Sherlin for the team lead on the week.

The Eagles' season came to a close after the bracket championship, finishing with a 36-20 overall record.
