Anna Maumalanga had one of the headline performances during the Eagles' dual meet against Westmont last weekend. During Biola's first meet of the 2018 track & field season and the first meet of her collegiate career, Maumalanga shattered the program's record in the discuss toss by winning the event with a throw of 42.21m (138' 5.8"). 

Maumalanga beat the previous record by 3.82 m and also placed third in the shot put with a throw of 11.52 m, helping by win 22 of the 32 events on the day. 

Maumalanga and the Eagles return to competition this Saturday when they travel to Los Angeles for the CSU Los Angeles Invitational at Jesse Owens Track.
