Michael Kute is the senior captain leading a dominant Biola defense that led to a 2-0 week for the Eagles right when they needed it most. He and his back line allowed just seven shots on goal and one goal in two games from Oct. 20-26 to earn the latest Biola Athlete of the Week award.

Kute played all 190 minutes of the Eagles' ovetime win overtime win over San Diego Christian and shutout of RV Westmont. He and Biola are playing its best soccer of the season and have not lost since Oct. 7.

Biola has tied or won each of its last four contests with a +3 goal differential in process. The defense has allowed more than two goals in just six of 15 matches in 2014.

He and the Eagles have the whole week off before concluding its Golden State Athletic Conference regular season on Saturday at William Jessup.
