Freshman forward Jazz Benn helped the Eagles to two 19-point victories last week, reaching double figures in both contests. Benn shot 64 percent from the field in Biola’s games against Holy Names and Notre Dame De Namur, making 5 of her 7 attempts on Thursday for 13 points and 9-of-15 on Saturday to score a game-high 20. She also got 13 rebounds on Saturday, including five offensive rebounds, to finish with a double-double.

The Eagles are now 8-2 since the conclusion of the fall semester and have an active three-game winning streak after Monday’s win at Academy of Art. Benn and the Eagles have four days to prepare for Saturday’s Cornerstone Cup rivalry game against Azusa Pacific, who took a total of 10 Cornerstone Cup points when the basketball teams met in Azusa on Jan. 6. Free In-N-Out, t-shirts and other giveaways will be available before the start of the women’s game on Saturday, so make sure to arrive well before the 5:30 p.m. tip-off.
