After recording three-consecutive clean sheets and helping the Eagles earn nine points in PacWest play, Christina Rodriguez has been named Biola’s Athlete of the Week.

Rodriguez has met the unique challenge of playing goalkeeper behind the Eagles’ excellent defensive front. Her concentration and in-game focus have resulted in eight saves over Biola’s last three matches and have helped her make good judgments about when to come off her line. Rodriguez’ goals against average dipped below one goal per match (0.89) after Monday’s 2-0 win over Hawai’i-Hilo.

She and the Eagles will travel to Irvine on Saturday for their next match. Kickoff with the Concordia-Irvine Eagles is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
